Not only do the four veteran players in Hornet (formerly of Trocar and First To The Fence) display a lifelong understanding of the sonic vocabulary of early 90s D.C. punk on this nine-song debut, they also infuse it with a DIY fervor worthy of their largest influence. Vocalist/guitarist Chafe Hensley has a clipped vocal pattern thats as distinct as it is direct and guitarist Mark Larmee (of Broadside Productions) sears a needles touch across both his guitarwork and tracking of the songs, capturing frenzy without losing finesse.
